What this tool does

The Open Graph image is what appears when a link is shared on social networks, chat apps and search previews. This tool renders a 1200x630 PNG, the size recommended by most platforms, from a title, subtitle, optional logo and a background of your choice: a solid colour, a two-colour gradient with an adjustable angle, or your own photo with a darkening overlay for readable text.

Text is wrapped automatically and shrinks to fit the layout when a title is long, so you do not have to fiddle with line breaks. Wrapping works for scripts without spaces such as Chinese and Japanese (it breaks between characters) and right-to-left text is drawn in the correct direction. You control font family from a system-safe list, size, weight, colour and line height.

Six starting templates are included. The image is drawn on a canvas in your browser and is not uploaded.

How to use it

  1. 1Choose a template as a starting point, or start from the default.
  2. 2Type your title and subtitle. Adjust alignment, font, size and colours.
  3. 3Pick a background: solid, gradient or an uploaded image. For photos, raise the overlay until the text is easy to read.
  4. 4Optionally add a logo and choose which corner it sits in.
  5. 5Download the PNG and reference it in your page with an og:image meta tag.

Supported formats

Input: PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG for the logo and background. Output: 1200x630 PNG.

Privacy

This tool runs in your browser. The data you provide is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers.

Limitations

  • Only fonts installed on the viewer's device (a system-safe list) are available; the same design may look slightly different on another operating system. Download the PNG to freeze the result.
  • Very long titles shrink down to a minimum size and are then shortened with an ellipsis rather than overflowing.
  • Emoji and rare scripts depend on the fonts installed on your device.
  • Platforms may crop or cache the image differently; keep important content away from the edges (the layout already leaves a 72 px margin).

FAQ

What size should an Open Graph image be?

1200x630 pixels (about 1.91:1) works on Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord and as a large Twitter/X card. Keep it under roughly 5 MB; PNGs from this tool are usually far smaller.

How do I use the image on my site?

Upload it to your site and add <meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/og.png"> plus a twitter:card meta tag of summary_large_image in the page head. Use an absolute URL.

Which templates are available?

Midnight, Daylight, Aurora, Sunset, Editorial and Terminal. You can also build any style by hand with the controls.

Does it support Chinese, Japanese or Arabic text?

Yes, as long as your device has a font for the script. CJK text wraps between characters and Arabic/Hebrew text is rendered right-to-left.
